Nubuke Foundation, Accra will be temporarily closed to the public from 31 July 2018 while the East Legon campus is remodelled with a new purpose-built, modern gallery building, a library, a café, recreational areas and landscaped grounds solely devoted to the arts and culture.
Refurbishments on the existing gallery spaces will transform them into a vibrant hub of galleries, co-working spaces, offices, and shops dedicated to art, merchandise, fashion and design.
Over the last 12 years, Nubuke Foundation has been committed to consistent production and innovative programming while impacting youth, children, schools and communities with visual arts, culture, poetry, drama, music and much more.
Nubuke Foundation has been and continues to be instrumental in nurturing the creative talents and dreams of many young Ghanaians.
This was recognised when it was awarded ‘Tourist Attraction of the Year 2016’ by the Ghana Tourism Authority.
We take this opportunity to thank everyone who has supported and worked with us on this historic journey. The re-opening early next year will coincide with the 10th year of the opening of Nubuke Foundation at the East Legon premises. We look forward to re-opening with an ambitious programming calendar, collaborations and partnerships.
All visitors can expect to enjoy an enhanced and fulfilling experience at Nubuke Foundation.
If you would like to be part of this exciting vision for the next decade and beyond, please get in touch.
The Nubuke Foundation is a non-governmental institution founded in 2006 to promote the visual arts, culture and heritage of Ghana.
