VIDEO WITH A MESSAGE
Last week, whiles scrolling through my twitter feed, I chanced on this video sponsored by UNICEF as part of their education campaign against Ebola and Cholera.
The video assembles some of the top artistes in Ghana to drum home the message of frequent hand washing as a means to avoid either the Ebola or Cholera menace. Artistes featured in the video include Wanlov, Sister Deborah (Debbie), Gasmilla, Edem, Yaa Pono, King Ayisoba, Sherifa Gunu and Wiyaala.
The educative lyrics (performed in various Ghanaian languages with subtitles) and the accompanying choreography depicting hand washing and the simple yet infectious afrobeats rhythms employed on the song is appealing.
