KO-JO CUE Feat. Mr. Eazi – My BayBey
How to do express your gratefulness to your biggest fan as an artiste? Feature them in a video or drop their name in a lyric of a song? Well, Ko-Jo Cue had a different approach; he made a full song for his ‘biggest fan and his inspiration’- his baby.
On this Peewezel produced afro- pop tune featuring crooner Mr. Eazi, Ko-Jo Cue reveals how ‘his babe’ held him done before the fame and the money despite the negative comments about him succeeding in the industry. And how she is always at the front row at his shows rapping along to his songs.
Lately, the BBnZ signee has been dropping singles for his fans who are eagerly awaiting his debut album slated for release later in the year. These few singles out are not those to be found on the album.
JOEY B feat Medikal – FOH
The last time I heard a ‘sexy’ middle finger to the hater(s) song was “Charged Up’ by Drake. Joey B’s FOH is the other. In his typical non-aggressive, laid back, a verse at a time flow, Joey B breezes seamlessly over this Nova produced trap beat adorned with big horns.
As deduced from the title, Joey B tells fair-weather friends or wannabe friends and those who never believed in him from the start to ‘fuck outta here with your bullshit’.
Medikal from Arab Money Gang (AMG), who was featured by Joey proved his mettle by dropping a fantastic 16 bars on the track. FOH with its catchy hook is definitely one to grow into a street anthem.
SARKODIE – WOFA KWAME
Gefacci laid a minimalistic highlife sound for Sarkodie to showcase his story-telling abilities on ‘Wofa Kwame’. Sarkodie narrates in two verses, real life stories many would relate to-one of Wofa Kwame whose dream of travelling outside Ghana ends at the visa section of many embassies. This part of the song reminds me of Reggie Rockstone’s Visa.
The second verse is about Sarkodie getting ditched by a lover despite giving his all.

DJ JULS feat. Mr. Eazi, Eugy & Sarkodie – TEEF TEEF
When MTV.com in their recent publication about DJ Juls said DJ Juls ‘has changed the vibes of modern Afrobeats’, they were spot on. His latest song ‘Teef Teef’ attest to the claim by MTV.com.
Teef Teef carries a nostalgic feel-the opener borrows from the 70s palmwine highlife sounds before veering into a more contemporary afrobeat, where Mr. Eazi croons about ‘stealing all the girls here’.
Eugy, who is gradually building a following for himself and rap king Sarkodie tell the world why they are in love with the women in their lives. The magic of the song lies not in the lyrics of Eugy or Sarkodie or the singing of Mr. Eazi. The real punch is the infectious beat laid by Juls. It’s all to love.

LUTHER feat. Stonebwoy – Blessings
Luther teamed up with Stonebwoy on his new song to express his joy at the many blessings coming his way in this short period of his career. With its mid-tempo groove, Luther blends Ga language and pidgin music to serve his fanbase whiles proffering some advice to all those on the grind ‘in every endeavor you for bear cost. If it’s not for profit, it’s a bare loss’.
With the fallout he had with Wisa over the latter’s breakthrough song ‘E Kiki Me’, it is just apt to thank God for the blessings he is enjoying.
