GUEST POST: YAYS & NAYS OF 2016 VGMA

RED CARPET
Audience at the AICC and viewers at home were expectant of what could transpire on the “famous VGMAs Red Carpet”. Given the heads up as to the personalities who will be hosting that on the day of the event, the general feeling was that, there was going to be some fresh blood to be introduced this year to spice up everything. In that, we will be moving away from the usual “who are you wearing?” to something new and interesting.
The hosts, Berla Addardey(Berla Mundi) and Elia Chebib were given the honors to do justice on the night. The gorgeous Berla Mundi did not disappoint as she’s known to be very affable and well on top of issues in entertainment circles. She should consider taking a shot at hosting the main event one day which without any doubt will be successful. However, the same could not be said about her co-host Elia Chebib. Not too well known in the industry, Elia was on point with his looks and dressing. His questions were quite of a problem on the night, many of them needless if you ask me. His little conversations with guests off camera were also heard on TV since his microphone was on at the time. Maybe, we can all pardon him since this is his first time of hosting such an event. He can only get better and we wish him well.

Perhaps the only performer who came to mime his tracks on the night. I don’t know if organizers of the show didn’t warn him as to his choice of certain words on stage. Listening and watching him became quite an awkward period till Mugeez appeared to salvage the situation. Congratulations to him though as the new CEO of STARBOY WORLDWIDE record label owned by Wizkid who have signed the duo(R2Bees) alongside the phenomenal singer, EFYA and the very talented Mr. Eazi.
