Writers Project of Ghana and the Goethe Institute proudly present Ghanaian writer Rita Nketiah at our monthly reading series.
Rita Nketiah’s writing is driven by her interest in feminism and how youth of the African diaspora relate and tell their stories. Over the years, she has been actively involved in youth-led social justice activism within academia and her immediate community. Her works include An African Woman’s Journey through Grad School and Politics of Identity in The African Diaspora. She writes for the blog This is Africa.
Rita Nketiah holds an a Bachelor of Arts degree in Women Studies from the University of Western Ontario and an MA in Women and Gender studies from the University of Toronto. She is currently working towards her PhD in Geography at York University.
