Writers Project of Ghana host book reading with Nana Ama Kyerematen
For our first reading in 2017, Writers Project Of Ghana in collaboration with Afridiaspora, a webzine dedicated to showcasing and promoting Literature from Africa and the diaspora, present an evening of readings from a new anthology of short stories and poetry, Obibinii Te Ase, published by Afridiaspora in March, 2017.
Obibinii Te Ase features young Ghanaian writers telling stories of modern Ghana. The anthology is published as part of the Ghana at 60 celebrations and depicts the progress and change in the literary scene in Ghana 60 years after independence. The anthology also profiles Nana Darkoa Sekyiamah, who runs the blog Adventures from the Bedrooms of African Women.
Nana Ama Kyerematen is the founder and Managing Editor of Afridiaspora and the founder and curator of the premier African Literature Festival in the United States. She seeks to provide a platform for aspiring and established African writers. Nana Ama has an MBA in Financial Management and has worked in the Alternative Investment space at various Investment Banks and transnational financial firms for over a decade.
